Curry County cordially invites the public to the unveiling of the new FA_R Stand-In Photo Opportunity Sign on Friday, August 10th at 3:30 p.m. at 1900 E. Brady Ave. For the unveiling and photo opportunity meet in the Food Court between the Indoor Pavilion and the Ag Building.

The County came across an idea for a metal project for the Fairgrounds and approached the Texico FFA to see if they would be willing to build the project for the County since they done an excellent job last year on building the Events Center and Fairgrounds entrance sign on Brady. The plan was presented to Terry Whitener with Texico schools and he was able to gather a group of students over the summer to complete the project for the County. After the students completed the construction of the project, it was then taken to be powder coated and then installed at the Fairgrounds.

“Seeing a job taken on so eagerly, worked so hard, and finished with such care, Mr. Whitener and his Texico students, do Curry County proud!” Commissioner Seth Martin said.
