May is halfway through, June is just around the corner, and it will be time for the Pioneer Days Parade before you know it.

Application forms for the Pioneer Days Parade can be picked up at the Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce. This year, the theme is “Cowboys and Camo,” to celebrate a decade of 27th Special Operations. The parade is set to go down Main Street at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 3. Additional information for parade participants can be found on the registration form.

Colonel Hammons, who will soon assume command of the 27th Special Operations Wing, will serve as this year’s Pioneer Days Parade Marshal.

The Pioneer Days Parade has been a tradition in Clovis and part of the Pioneer Days week-long celebration for more than 40 years. Other events happening during the week include three nights of the PRCA rodeo, rodeo pageantry and royalty, Cowboy Trade Days, the Rodeo Tailgate, and the Pioneer Women’s Breakfast.
