Curry County Fair Home Arts Exhibits & Entries

Do you have a hobby that you enjoy? Are you a local professional that wants to enter your project into the Curry County Fair? Good news! The fair has so many different opportunities for people of all ages and skill. Even better news - you don’t have to be a 4H or FFA member to participate, they have open classes for Curry County residents!

Here is a quick rundown of the opportunities at the Curry County Fair:

•    Poultry - Open to FFA, 4-H and Curry County residents - entry fees range from 50 cents to $2.50 - awards/premiums range from $1 to $3 and ribbons - FFA/4-H Grand Champion will receive a buckle
•    Rabbits - Open to FFA, 4-H and Curry County residents - entry fees range from 50 cents to $2.00 - awards/premiums range from $1 to $3 and ribbons - FFA/4-H Grand Champion will receive a buckle
•    Agriculture Exhibits - Open to FFA, 4-H and  Curry County residents - no entry fee - awards/premiums range from $1 to $3 and ribbons
•    Home Economics Exhibits - Open to FFA, 4-H and Curry County Residents - no entry fee - awards/premiums range from $1 to $5 and ribbons
•    Junior Livestock Exhibits - 4-H and FFA only (Dairy, Beef, Swine, Sheep and Goat)
•    FFA Farm Mechanics - FFA Members Only
•    4-H Home Economics & General Projects - 4-H Members only

The fairbook, found on our website - www.curryeventscenter.com, is a great resource to see if your hobby is recognized during the fair. The Home Economics department accepts entries for everything from adult art, junior art, needlecraft, food preservation, and even wood working.

Entries in the open category will be accepted on Monday, August 13th from 8am - 6pm. The deadline for all 4H and FFA entries has passed but can be accepted for an additional $25 fee per entry. We look forward to seeing your work at the fair!
