Clovis Police Department Announces Cops and Kids Christmas 2018 Information

The Christmas Holiday will soon be upon us and the Clovis Police Department as well multiple assisting agencies are gearing up for the annual “Cops and Kids Christmas Event”. This takes place just before Christmas and gives local children an opportunity to go shopping with an Officer or First responder. Each child will receive $100. To spend on themselves. This event is a tradition that local Law Enforcement look forward to every year. The children (aged 3 to 13) selected are under-privileged kids who might not have a chance at receiving gifts unless help is provided.

How do you sign up a child you ask? Visit to the Clovis Police Departments records window and pick up an application at 300 N. Connelly. Complete it, and return to Records. A panel of Officers and civilians go over each application and Children are selected. Parents/Guardians whose kid was selected will receive a phone call and instructions will be given. Applications received after December 1st will not be considered.

This event could not occur without donations from individuals and local businesses as well as fundraisers. Fundraisers include; serving for tips at Leal’s on Prince, December 4th at 5:00 pm. All tips go to the event. And Dollars for Donuts in which will take place in front of Daylight Donuts November 1st at 6:00 am.
